Who
is Breakthru’ Artz?
Breakthru’ Artz is a dynamic creative arts ministry based at St Stephens Anglican
Church in Belrose. We run a creative arts school for the community, creative
ministry teams for children, youth and adults, and we create and produce quality
projects and productions with trained performing artists. The majority of
performers are currently from the Belrose community with more and more artists
from other areas joining us each year. We love to bring together art forms
and collaborate with dancers, actors, musicians, writers, artists, photographers
and more.
Our goal is to create quality art that entertains, moves, inspires and changes our audiences. We seek to draw people who may not know God to Him. We seek to challenge people to know God in a deeper way. And we seek to be a creative voice for those who are poor and broken.
Breakthru’
Artz seeks to reach people by performing in many different settings both inside
and outside the church. Recent performances have included touring to local
churches, TEAR conference, Blackstump and Anzac festivals. In November we
held our annual event Impact in Glen St Theatre where Breakthru’ Projects
presented their latest production, MAKE POVERTY HISTORY: images and stories.
